On this 5-day cultural pilgrimage, follow the revered trail of Lord Rama and Devi Sita across lush tropical mountains. Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in the royal city of Kandy, drive through emerald tea estates to Nuwara Eliya (Little England), offer prayers at Seetha Amman Temple where Devi Sita was held captive, and walk through Ashoka Vatika (Hakgala Botanical Gardens). Conclude with cosmopolitan sightseeing and shopping in the seaside capital of Colombo.

DAY 1

Colombo Arrival, Pinnawala Elephants & Transfer to Kandy

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo. Meet your chauffeur guide and drive towards Kandy. En route, stop at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to watch over 80 elephants being fed and bathing in the Ma Oya river. Reach the hill capital Kandy, check in to your hotel, and attend a traditional Kandyan cultural dance show with fire-walking.

Temple of the Tooth & Drive to Nuwara Eliya Tea Hills
