DAY 1

Day 01: Arrival Guwahati – Kamakhya Temple & Drive to Shillong

Dinner

Arrive at Guwahati Airport (GAU) or Railway Station. Visit the sacred Kamakhya Devi Temple atop Nilachal Hill. Afterward, embark on the picturesque drive into Meghalaya (approx. 100 km / 3 hrs). Stop at beautiful Umiam Lake (Barapani) for watersport photos. Arrive in Shillong (the Scotland of the East), check in at your hotel, and spend the evening exploring Police Bazar.

DAY 2

Day 02: Shillong to Cherrapunji (Sohra) – Land of Waterfalls & Caves

Breakfast & Dinner

After breakfast, drive to Cherrapunji (approx. 55 km / 2 hrs). Visit the thunderous Nohkalikai Falls (India’s tallest plunge waterfall at 1,115 ft), Seven Sisters Falls, and Mawsmai Cave with its ancient stalactites and stalagmites. Visit the Eco Park offering panoramic vistas over the plains of Bangladesh.

DAY 3

Day 03: Mawlynnong Living Root Bridge & Crystal Clear Dawki River

Breakfast & Dinner

After breakfast, drive to Mawlynnong, acclaimed as 'God's Own Garden' and the cleanest village in Asia. Walk through flower-lined paved pathways to see the extraordinary single-decker Living Root Bridge crafted from ficus tree roots across centuries. Continue to Dawki on the Indo-Bangladesh border to enjoy a boat ride on the crystal-clear, transparent waters of the Umngot River where boats appear to float in mid-air. In the late afternoon, drive back to Shillong.

DAY 4

Day 04: Shillong to Kaziranga National Park (Approx. 250 km / 5.5 hrs)

Breakfast & Dinner

After breakfast, check out and drive down from the hills of Meghalaya into the lush Brahmaputra plains of Assam towards Kaziranga National Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Arrive in Kaziranga, check in at your jungle lodge, and relax. Visit the Kaziranga Orchid and Biodiversity Park in the afternoon to witness hundreds of native orchid species and traditional Bihu folk dances.

DAY 5

Day 05: Kaziranga Elephant & 4x4 Jeep Safari – Spotting One-Horned Rhinos

Breakfast Lunch & Dinner

Early morning thrilling Elephant Safari through the tall elephant grass of the Central (Kohora) or Western (Bagori) range to observe the Great Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros grazing peacefully at close quarters. Return for breakfast. In the afternoon, embark on an extensive 4x4 open-top Gypsy jungle safari tracking wild water buffaloes, swamp deer, Asiatic wild elephants, and rich wetland birdlife.

DAY 6

Day 06: Kaziranga to Guwahati Airport Departure

Breakfast

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge. Check out and embark on the return drive to Guwahati Airport (approx. 220 km / 4.5 hrs) for your onward flight.
