Meet your local heritage guide at Godowlia, one of the principal gateways to the historic Old City. Begin your walk through the atmospheric lanes of Kashi, observing traditional houses, small shrines, flower sellers, pilgrims and local artisans.

Banarasi Breakfast Experience
Enter the famous Kachori Gali and experience one of Banaras' classic morning food traditions. Taste hot Kachori-Sabzi, fresh crispy Jalebi, seasonal local sweets, and traditional tea. The narrow food lanes around the Old City are an important part of Banaras' everyday culinary culture.

Thatheri Bazaar Heritage Walk
Continue towards Thatheri Bazaar, traditionally associated with brass and copper craftsmanship. Walk through the old market streets and discover traditional utensils, religious objects, handicrafts and workshops while learning about the city's artisan traditions.

Vishwanath Gali & Old Kashi
Proceed through Vishwanath Gali, one of the most atmospheric lanes of the Old City. Along the way, see traditional shops and temple stalls, flower and puja markets, old residential architecture, small shrines hidden within the lanes, and local handicrafts. The area is also closely associated with Banarasi chaat and other local food traditions.

Heritage Lanes Towards the Ghats
Continue on foot through the historic lanes towards the Ganges. The walk gradually opens onto the riverside, revealing the magnificent relationship between Kashi, its temples, its people and the sacred Ganga.

Dashashwamedh Ghat
Reach Dashashwamedh Ghat and spend time appreciating the architecture, riverfront activity and spiritual atmosphere. From here, your guide explains the importance of the ghats in the cultural and religious life of Banaras.

Banarasi Chaat Experience
Conclude the culinary trail with a taste of traditional Banarasi chaat, such as Tamatar Chaat, Aloo Tikki, dahi-based snacks, and seasonal local specialties. Banarasi chaat is particularly associated with the old lanes around Vishwanath and Godowlia.

End of the Experience
